Our X-Box playoff was a huge success! A great group of young kids enjoyed racing each other in Burnout Revenge and Moto GP-06, while others fought it out playing Dead or Alive 4. Minor prizes included a range of CD singles, DVD's and swimming pool passes, while the major prize was a 1GB ipod!Entertainment was provided by Great Fire of Rome, a local band, who kindly offered to play for our enthusists as they played. Adrian, an ex-library worker, and his band performed some terrific songs which certainly woke up some of our library borrowers hoping for a quiet evening at the library!
Pizzas soon arrived as well - they disappeared faster I can say Pizza Hut three times, and I didn't even get one slice in the end!
The lucky winner during the final playoff was young Ethan, surprising even himself since he'd never played before! I guess it's true what they say about first time lucky! Some of the more expert players bombed out early, the tension too much to bear for some of them! Semi-finalist Remy also put in a fantastic performance. Well done guys!
We will be having another X-Box playoff in the Term 1 holidays, due to it's enormous success. Everyone who came received great prizes and had a terrific time. I look forward to the next one!
